Welcome to MusicaAcoustics blog/newsletter.
Today I have a privilege to share with you Velvet, the latest creation of fench IEM/CIEM manufacturer,
Earsonics SAS.
Velvet is a result of 7 years of continuos engagement and devotion to what earsonics does best, designing and manufacturing hi-end customs and universal in-ear monitors.
For those who are not familiar with Earonics' history,
Earsonics emerged in the year 2010 with the SM3, a flagship model then was highly acclaimed triple armature BA universal fit IEMs.
SM3 immediately caught my attention as it offered driver combination which only few IEM manufacturers managed to make it to perform good.
SM3 was followed by SM3 V2 which exceeded expectations of most of earsonics' followers. Later came the SM64 and last year in October of 2013, S-em6, a world's first six driver universals monitors were announced. S-em6 became Musica's favorite universal, along with Tralucent 1plus2 and Fitear TG334. S-em6 remains companies flagship universals till present day.
A year after S-em6 was launched, Velvet is born.
We, at Musica, as well as rest of earsonics fans, awaited anxiously for 2 weeks for the secret to be revealed!
After spending an evening listening my favorite tunes, (see list below) and I am very proud of what Earsonics has achieved.
Thanks to the tuning mechanism (with a screw driver), Velvet is capable of driving it all, from classical to heavy metal.
without a doubt, Velvet has become my favorite IEMs!
-pros: versatile, engaging, comfortable, beautiful, great cost performance.
-cons: nozzle too wide hence comply/foam tips cant be used.
*included tree-like flange ear tips do not fit in my narrow ear canal with ease.
Is Velvet for you?
Velvet is recommended to everyone who is looking to engage in formidable listening experience.
If you are new to Earsonics, and you are in the market for hi-end universals
give it a try and you shall not be disappointed.
Conclusion:
Velvet is designed and created by a team of professional musicians/engineers who's aim is to offer top of the line products and Velvet is just one of its kind.
My favorite artists:
Rachmaninoff Symphony #2, Bach's Violin sonatas, Leahy's B minor, Queen/Freddy Mercury Made in Heaven, Within Temptation songs, Sphongle, Alphaville, Jacques Loussier and many more.)
